TOTING AROUND TOWN

Two things I bring on every adventure: personal style and my Biddle bag from Treason Toting Co. I spend a lot of time adventuring through Baltimore; yet, as much as I harp on shopping local, I also recognize that's not always possible or practical. I enjoy spending my free time wandering through the boutiques of Fells' Point and vintage shops of Mt Vernon but both of those luxuries are contingent on me having free time. It's a hot commodity these days, right?

Recently, I partnered with Le Tote to showcase how their services cater to those of us who can't always carve out time to go shopping or those of you who dislike the process of shopping, trying on clothes, etc.

How it works: Essentially, you fill a closet with available pieces you like from the Le Tote closet (or let the Le Tote stylists pick pieces for you.) Once you get your Tote, wear the clothes until you're ready to exchange them for a whole new set of cute clothes and accessories! You can also purchase any pieces you love from your tote for a discounted price!

As someone who enjoys exercising her personal style, I appreciate how Le Tote allows you to curate your own box, the pieces that come in it as well as how often you want to exchange those pieces for new ones! What a lot of people don't know is that just like other online stores, Le Tote has sales!

I fell in love with this wrap skirt (on sale for $23!) as I was scrolling through options for my first Tote. Any wrap-style piece works well to accent the smallest part of my body - my waist. As a female with a traditional hour-glass shape, I've made high-waisted, cinched pieces a staple in my closet. Additionally, I thought the neutral colors would work well with my current closet, and it could be easily dressed up (with heels/wedges) or dressed down like I did here for a Saturday morning visit to Ceremony Coffee Roasters in Harbor Point.

I try to keep my outfits engaging by playing with colors, patterns, and structures. Read more about my style inspirations via my ACC Stylist Spotlight. When I tried on this skirt, I knew I wanted to pair it with a pair of clean, white sneakers. The simplicity of the sneakers allowed me to be a bit more adventurous in pairing the skirt with a top. I immediately wanted to play with the contrast of the patterns - horizontal/vertical, blue/white, stripes/shapes - so I paired it with a turtle neck crop from Forever21.

Cue local. Again, I understand that not all of our clothes can be sourced locally but all is not lost! For me, supporting local is as easy as buying accessories from a small business, owning a pair of shoes from a Baltimore boutique, or sporting a denim jacket from a local vintage store. It doesn't have to be bigger than that - every little bit helps!

Since I was wearing a piece from my Le Tote collaboration, I thought it was only fitting to accessorize the casual weekend look with my Treason Toting Co. backpack. And after a solid cup of coffee from Ceremony, I stopped into the Treason Toting Co.'s in-store pop up at West Elm in Harbor Point!
