TAYLOR YOUR TRAVELS: Downtown Indianapolis

As I previously mentioned, I headed to Indianapolis for a work conference last month. It was my first professional conference, and between attending sessions about the advancements in cystic fibrosis research, I snuck in some urban exploration. New city, new adventures!

I checked out Indianapolis' City Market sporting a cute outfit filled with patterns, but I also prioritized seeing some of the other sights that Indy has to offer. The closing reception for the conference was cocktail attire, but instead of a LBD, I brought my favorite Black House, White Market jumpsuit (because I always have to be different haha.) I got so many compliments on it; the jumpsuit is honestly one of my greatest wardrobe purchases to date. Therefore, I wanted to highlight it by shooting this fun night-out look at Indy's iconic Soldiers and Sailors Monument, at the center of the city.

Overall, I had a great experience in the Circle City (considering my limited free time.) Below you can find a map of the places I loved - food, drink, coffee, shops - that I would suggest checking out if you're headed to Indy for a conference (or a weekend adventure!) My favorite spot was Rook, a trendy spot serving up contemporary Asian cuisine inspired by street food stalls.

Have you been to Downtown Indianapolis? Have any other Indianapolis favorites I should add to the map? Tell me in the comments below!
