MY PICKS: Patterned Slip Dresses

Taylor wearing patterned slip dress and holding flowers outside a building in Washington, DC.

Summer is my least favorite season. Why? I find dressing for the for DMV-area heat and humidity really challenging. Hot and humid outside, cold A/C inside - every day feels like a ping-pong game between hot and cold.

As a result, my default looks usually include crop tops, loose dresses, and skirts.

Slip dresses are a great option when styling summer looks because they transition well into colder months. You can easily add tees and turtlenecks for an extra layer or throw a cardigan/blazer on for a more corporate look. Versatility makes a closet more sustainable. Instead of buying three pieces, try buying one slip dress and styling it three different ways.

I see slip dresses all over my Instagram feed, but why are they always solid colors? I want a patterned slip dress! I get it, there's a time and a place for a sexy black or red dress, but a good pattern + the chic, elegant shape of a slip dress = perfection.

I've shared my patterned slip dress picks below!
